In February 2007 six newspaper editions from the Dutch publisher Wegener changed to tabloid format. The editions have a circulation of almost 900.000 copies and this makes it one of the largest newspapers in the world. A number of the new font families have been tailor made for the use in newspapers: DTL Porta News by the Croation type designer Nikola Djurek, DTL Caspari News and DTL Albertina Headline. The outcome from several legibility tests was a clear victory by DTL Porta over Swift, the typeface that was applied most at Wegener until recently. All new typefaces will become available for the market. Dutch Type Library.
